Xunantunich is an Ancient Maya archaeological site in western Belize, about 80 miles (130 km) west of Belize City, in the Cayo District.
Xunantunich located in the village of San Jose Succotz, just one mile after crossing the Mopan River Ferry.
The Mayan word Xunantunich translates to Maiden of the Rock. Xunantunich is the second largest Mayan archaeological site. Its tallest temple stands at 130 feets above plaza level.
For cruise ship passengers, the tour departs from the Tourism Village at Terminal 1 in Belize City at the dock where the cruise ship tender boat drops off their passengers. A representative from D King Adventure Tours will be there waiting for you with a sign with your name on it.
